Staff Psychotherapist, Soho Psychotherapy

Meet Olivia Sindall

Hi, I’m Olivia — a therapist with a deep commitment to trauma-informed care and the understanding that all people have the innate ability to transform and heal. Through my clinical experience, I’ve found a deep resonance in supporting emerging adults, first-generation college students, young professionals, and those navigating life and career transitions as they seek to better understand themselves and their stories.

My work is grounded in the belief that healing begins with self-awareness and connection — and that every person holds the capacity to grow and thrive when met with curiosity and compassion. My approach is warm, collaborative, and client-centered. I view therapy as a co-creative process where your voice, experience, and insight guide our work together. I draw from relational and narrative therapy, mindfulness practices, parts work, and an attachment-based lens to help you explore and integrate the many parts of yourself.

I specialize in supporting individuals who have experienced developmental and relational trauma, and I also work with clients navigating depression, PTSD, anxiety, identity exploration, and relationship challenges. Whether you're feeling stuck, uncertain, or overwhelmed, my goal is to create a space where all parts of you are welcome and worthy of exploration. Together, we’ll work to uncover patterns that no longer serve you, reconnect with your inner resilience, and move toward a fuller, more integrated understanding of who you are.

I began my career in community mental health, where I worked with individuals navigating a wide range of mental health concerns, sociocultural stressors, and systemic injustices. I later transitioned to a group practice where I primarily supported students and early-career professionals — many of whom were new to therapy and beginning to explore their inner worlds.

Before becoming a therapist, I trained in fine arts, and this creative foundation continues to inform my therapeutic style. I bring attunement, imagination, and a deep appreciation for emotional nuance into sessions, and I hold a special understanding of those navigating the unique pressures and complexities of creative fields.

I’ve lived up and down the East Coast but have made a home in New York with my partner. As an artist at heart, I love exploring museums and galleries in the city and beyond. I continue to use my creative practices to ground, recenter, and process my own experiences — and I find peace and perspective through time spent in nature.

Education

I hold a Master’s in Counseling from Boston University’s Wheelock College of Education and Human Development. My academic path also includes dual undergraduate degrees from BU—a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting—reflecting my long-standing interest in both creative expression and meaningful communication.

I’m deeply committed to lifelong learning and staying current in the field of mental health. I’ve pursued advanced coursework and certification in trauma-informed care and am currently in the process of obtaining EMDR certification to deepen my work with trauma and healing.
